After the Oscars marathon, Cinema Club returns in April following a short break, resuming its lineup of classic and noteworthy films you may have missed—now on a new schedule: the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

The series kicks off April 21 with guest host Rick Schell presenting The Caine Mutiny. More details to come!

Starting March 16th and going through April 17th, donations will be collected for a book drive benefiting Lindo Park Elementary School, where Lena previously taught third grade before transitioning into her role with Action.

Many students at Lindo Park face challenges outside the classroom and don’t always have access to the resources they need to succeed. This drive will primarily support second and third grade classrooms, where students are strengthening essential reading skills. If additional books are collected, donations will be distributed to other grade levels as well.

New or gently used books are welcome, including early chapter books, Easy Readers (Levels 2–5), illustrated fiction, children’s nonfiction (such as science or animals), and age-appropriate graphic novels. Donation bins will be located in the Management Office.

Join Cinema Club on Sunday, March 15th for the Annual Oscars Viewing Party and celebrate Hollywood’s biggest night in style!

The red carpet begins at 3PM, grab a bite to eat and have your ballots completed before the awards start at 4PM. Enjoy wine and pizza, plus a little friendly competition as you predict this year’s big winners.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place to those with the most correct guesses, so bring your best predictions! Dress to impress; red carpet looks welcome, but optional!
